7K a year Encompass Community Supports, formerly known as Rappahannock Rapidan Community Services (RRCS) is hiring a Transit Dispatcher to work in our Culpeper office.
Encompass Community Supports is a Virginia State community services organization that improves the quality of life in Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange, and Rappahannock Counties by providing comprehensive mental health, substance use, developmental disability, housing, children's, and aging services.

Our Transit Dispatcher Dispatches Transit Operators.
Work is performed under regular supervision.
Some of the Essential Duties:
Dispatches and schedules vehicle use.
Provides technical and clerical support.
Maintains computerized dispatch scheduling software; navigates and solves problem with transportation software.
Prepares manual and electronic reports; produces driver manifest using automated system; produces trip log manifest for drivers and group home staff.
Processes new rider and home delivered meal referrals.
Coordinates with staff to schedule ridership for programs and with central kitchen for delivery of home delivered meals.
Schedules vans and drivers for the Senior Center sites special outings.
Operates mobile radios in compliance with FCC and Agency guidelines for coordination of rates.
Maintains inventory of keys used in transit system.
Responsible for fuel cards, keys, and approval of usage of motor pool vehicles.
Collects and documents fees gathered for services provided, as appropriate.
Works with others to analyze program needs.
Assist with schedule changes when necessary.
Assists with training of new drivers on the transit software.
Inform clients and families of delays and closures.
Inform drivers of delays and closures.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and
Experience:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and some experience operating motorized equipment.
Knowledge and Skills:
Thorough knowledge of regions traffic rules and regulations; ability to operate passenger vehicles and related equipment safely and efficiently; ability to remain alert and to remain calm during the periods of stress; ability to keep records and prepare reports; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, associates and the general public:
knowledge of MS Office, to include Word and Excel.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This work requires light physical effort working almost exclusively with lightweight materials (up to 25 pounds).
Working conditions are excellent with absence of disagreeable conditions and little or no accident or health hazards; limited mental effort and/or stress.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Valid Virginia driver's license; completes Agency required training.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
