Exempt Supervises Positions:
No JOB SUMMARY The Clinical Nurse Educator develops and deploys standardized education and training based on nursing process and practice.
The incumbent may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education:
4 Year/Bachelor's Degree Required - Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing.
BSN required.
MSN preferred.
Graduate Degree preferred.
Experience:
3 Years of Experience Required - Minimum of three years of clinical practice in area of specialization.
Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details.
Licensure:
Current RN license in appropriate state required Certified in AHA BLS Healthcare Provider, AHA ALS AHA BLS Healthcare Providers/ AHA ACLS certified instructor preferred Certification in specialized area preferred Additional Skills/Requirements Required :
Knowledge of adult education concepts.
Advanced nursing knowledge including excellent assessment, education, and evaluation skills.
Ability to manage many priorities at the same time.
Expertise with computers and software applications, including internet use.
Ability to teach others and learn from others.
Ability to find and utilize multiple resources/references to provide most current and up to date curriculum.
Ability to work flexible hours to meet need of department.
Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred :
Critical care background helpful, but not required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Physical Demand Code:

Sedentary to Light Physical Demand The job requires frequent sitting and standing, occasional walking, and bending/stooping.
Frequent repetitive arm, hand, and finger movements.
