The Corporate Compliance and Privacy Analyst Sr is responsible for completing complex hospital, provider, ACO, and long-term acute care auditing and monitoring reviews of medical records to ensure compliance with billing laws, rules, and regulations.
Utilizing their expertise in analyzing documentation in medical records to identify the severity of illness and intensity of services in support of medical necessity.
Responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex billing and privacy laws and regulations and is responsible for preparing meaningful, timely and accurate compliance and privacy reports.
Is the subject matter expert for facility and professional services coding, documentation and billing.

Provide guidance to management, staff, physicians, patients, and families on billing compliance and privacy laws and regulations.
Must be self-motivated and be adaptive to change.

Qualifications
Education:

Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Education and Experience in hospital compliance and privacy or revenue cycle related field.



Experience:

At least 5 years of experience in a compliance and privacy related field or at least 3 years of experience in performing complex compliance inpatient coding reviews.


Licensure/Certification/Registration:

Coding certification is required through the American Health Information Management Association or American Academy of Professional Coders as a Registered Health Information Administrator, Registered Health Information Technologist, Certified Coding Specialist, Certified Coding Specialist - Physician, Certified Professional Coder, Certified Coding Associate, and Certified Professional Coder - Hospital.
If not certified, an employee must obtain certification in one of the listed exams within 6 months of hire.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
