The Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist works under general supervision in performing a variety of diagnostic procedures according to departmental protocol, as requested by physician order.
The technologist will position the patient's body part for imaging and set appropriate technical factors on the imaging equipment with a high degree of competency to ensure production of quality images for interpretation by the radiologist.
The technologist will be scheduled based on operational need, which may include extended shifts, night and/or weekend shifts, overtime and holidays.
Some of the major job functions include, but are not limited to:
Adheres to prescribed standards for Radiation Safety and Infection Control.
Provides patient and family education related to imaging procedures.
Utilizes a personal computer or terminal to access the Hospital Information System (HIS) and PACS.
Assists in training and orientation of other employees.
Assists with training of Radiologic Technology students.
Follows hospital and departmental policies and procedures.

Maintains yearly AHA Healthcare Providers BLS certification, safety and infection in-services, plus adequate education hours to meet ARRT requirements.
Assists with coordination of patient exam scheduling.
Performs other job duties as requested.

Graduation from an accredited program for Registered Radiologic Technologists
Experience:
No Radiology experience requiredAbility to perform diagnostic procedures and to meet the specific needs of various patient age groups:
neonate, infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Current ARRT registry in good standing.
Current BLS through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red CrossAdditional Skills/Requirements required:
Demonstrates proficiency in verbal and written communicationsAbility to work in a stressful environment.
Ability to multitask and prioritize quickly.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
