Senior DevOps Network Engineer at Swift in Culpeper, VA
About Platform Services SWIFT is embracing agile and DevOps practices as a way to deliver upon the company's ambitious longer term objectives. For our business teams to succeed on this important transformation, the platform organization teams are reviewing the way we conceive, define, and deliver platform and IT infrastructure services. Our teams are looking at delivering effective private cloud capabilities as an enabler for building more effective software delivery pipelines. Key Responsibilities You will work with the Product Owner and Squad members to operate the SWIFT production network Participate in the day-to-day network administration and provisioning activities Perform production network devices configuration Perform production Network Management software deployments and upgrades Perform investigation on production network problems (at Level 2) identified by the Daily Operations Level 1 and the execution of the necessary corrective actions to address the issues according to availability targets; Be pro-active and provide improvements to existing processes and procedures; Develop new solutions based on customers' requirements ; Perform the security integrity checks for production network Baseline compliance after major changes; Participate to the production network On-call 24 x 7 the whole year round (rotation) Required to perform and support network deployments during weekend time periods Technical skills and competencies Good Cisco knowledge is mandatory (CCNA or CCNP certifications are an asset) Good knowledge on network Security:
MACSEC / IPSEC, RADIUS, TACACS, 802.1x, ISE Good knowledge on Routing Protocols:
EIGRP, BGP, ISIS, MPLS, VRF, VDC Good knowledge on Switching technologies:
Spanning Tree, vPC, OTV Good knowledge on Cisco ACI (and Data Center technologies) Good knowledge on ACI-related products like Tetration, MSC (or Orchestrator), APIC is a plus Basic knowledge on Network Monitoring & Management Systems:
HP NNMi, Wireshark, Infoblox, SevOne, DHCP, DNS is a plus Network Automation and scripting using Ansible DevOps tools like Git is a plus Professional skills & competencies Autonomous, driven, with strong ability to quickly adapt and respond to change. Education 3 year and/or University degree in telecommunications, electronics, or relevant field, or equivalent work experience Experience At-least 5 years of relevant experience in telecommunications.
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
